WeGo Public Transit
The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Intent Notice to Sole Source Swiftly Live
The agency intends to Sole Source Swiftly for the following features and services.
Swiftly Live Detour Mapping will allow detours entered into WeGo’s CAD/AVL system (OnRoute) to be displayed on a map to customers using Transit App. Swiftly provides the middleware needed to ingest the data from OnRoute and transform it into a format usable by Transit. In addition, the feed from Swiftly will include enhanced vehicle ETAs for routes with and without detours that can be displayed within Transit App and other 3rd party apps. These features will enhance the real-time bus information provided to customers, improving perceived reliability (through better predictions) and removing uncertainty associated with routes on detour. This includes when buses are intentionally placed on detour to provide enhanced service to Nissan Stadium via the Woodland Street bridge. Future enhancements to this technology are also planned that will allow for the inclusion of temporary stops and associated real-time predictions for routes on detour.
Swiftly is the only software provider we are aware of that has engaged with both Vontas (our CAD/AVL vendor) and Transit App to develop the data pipeline needed to provide live detour mapping functionality within a customer-facing app. This solution is already live at other transit agencies.
