Service study sessions July 16-18

NASHVILLE – WeGo Public Transit is finalizing a strategic planning process for optimizing and improving WeGo Star service and planning for infrastructure investments over the next few years and into the future. Public meetings have been announced for July.

As a result of extensive research, analysis, and public input, WeGo is presenting the results of the planning effort which seeks to ensure that the Star regional rail line meets changing customer needs, is maintained in a state of good repair, provides for sustainable financial operations, and coordinates effectively with the owners and freight operators of the rail corridor.

WeGo is looking for input from riders, non-riders, and the communities along the corridor to weigh-in on potential service and infrastructure recommendations. This round of public meetings will be the final in-person engagement opportunities for the project and will be held at the following locations and times:

• Tuesday, July 16 from 6-7:30 p.m., Fifty Forward, 108 Donelson Pike, Nashville, 37214

• Wednesday, July 17 from 6-7:30 p.m., City of Lebanon Administration Building, 200 North Castle Heights Ave., Lebanon, 37087

• Thursday, July 18 from 6-7:30 p.m., Mt. Juliet Community Center, 1075 Charlie Daniels Pkwy., Mount Juliet, 37122
