Public invited to join mayor, lawmakers at Fisk University
NASHVILLE – On Monday, February 5, 2024, WeGo Public Transit will commemorate Transit Equity Day with Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell, State Representative Harold Love, WeGo CEO Steve Bland, and Nashville MTA Board Chair Gail Carr Williams on a bus ride to Fisk University.
The public is invited to join the event at the John Hope and Aurelia Elizabeth Franklin Library at Fisk.
Transit Equity Day is a national day-of-action to commemorate Rosa Parks and other civil rights icons and to advocate for accessible, reliable, and affordable transit.
